I keep running into people who share my interest in food history - why we eat what we do, where food comes from, its cultural connections, the etiquette surrounding its consumption and how food is "packaged" when it arrives at our tables... This group explores these topics and more by visiting exhibits, cooking over hearths, getting together for lectures or to discuss related movies and books. Of course - tasting history is also a part of the picture!

We are a mixed group of adults (20 - 49) that live in and attend events in the Southern Maryland area (Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties) with a few events up north.  We enjoy attending and doing a variety of things such as theatre & the arts, berry picking, live music & comedy shows, sightseeing and visiting the museums of DC, community events, dancing, happy hour, wine/beer tastings, kayaking/canoeing, biking, hiking a park, bowling, and much more.  If you want to get away from going t …
